Sexual Abuse
There are more and more people seeking help from sexual abuse issues. Men as well as women.
Unfortunately there seems to be few places to get help. Mainstream talk therapy only goes so far as can take
years and a lot of money to start to feel better.
Sexual abuse issues can not just go away on their own. You will find that your life is filled with places that
the abuse triggers just come out.
Sometimes you may not want to remember the abuse, but you might have vague memories, or strange thoughts during
sexual encounters.
Seemingly healthy expressions of sex can make you uncomfortable or cause panic.
For others sexual abuse triggers can cause you to act out sexually, maybe use porn, take on lovers without
feeling anything, get into situations that cause you to continually trigger your abuse feelings over and over
again.
It's a sad and unhealthy way to live.
Sexual abuse can take many forms.
For some people it was a parent talking inappropriately about their bodies in front of them, or showing them
porn at an early age.
Some people are abused by someone their own age as children and don't get that it was abuse.
So it isn't just rape, incest, or other obvious circumstances that can cause you harm , it can be smaller things
as well.
If your mother constantly told you that your genitals were ugly, or dirty, and caused you shame, that is sexual
abuse.
If you have questions about why things surrounding sex seem hard for you, or you feel shame around your body,
